Within our sectors, extraordinary opportunities exist in both emerging and established markets. For example, the semiconductor industry is continuously evolving with many exciting technology opportunities such as novel lithography approaches. In the enabling Materials area, innovative materials are creating new industries such as solid-state lighting. In the Photonics area, we see new laser technologies displacing existing materials processing methods and enabling new medical procedures. We continue to see unexploited opportunities in the Wireless Tracking (e.g. RFID) area.

We believe that the only way to continue performing well in a competitive venture environment is to focus on our core capabilities, and forego even attractive opportunities that we just do not understand as well.
