Magnus Ryde began working with Quan Ventures as an Advisor in 2003. He subsequently became a Venture Partner, and then a General Partner for Quan III. His areas of investment focus are semiconductors and equipment, displays and enabling materials. Magnus has served on several Boards in both Sweden and the US. Previously, he was interim CEO of Intematix, a materials research startup focusing on high brightness LED markets, and CEO of FlexICs, a semiconductor-on-plastics startup. He served as President of TSMC North America, the world's largest semiconductor foundry, and spent over 18 years as an executive at KLA-Tencor, the world leader in semiconductor process and yield management. Magnus holds an MS in Engineering from Linköping University of Sweden, and a MS in Industrial Engineering and an Executive MBA from Stanford University.
